The Entaniya HAL 250 is a high quality fisheye lens for Cinema and mirrorless cameras. It features a 250 degree field of view. It is a great lens for REDs (Monstro, Helium, Gemini) , Blackmagic Design (Pocket) Cinema Cameras, Panasonic Lumix GH5 (S), Sony alpha (crop) series cameras and more.
The lens can be used in a single lens setup for overcapture as well as dome capture, or in single cam nodal setup. However, it’s real strength lies in the use in a two camera back-to-back configuration for a full 360 by 180 capture for virtual reality. The 250 degree FOV gives plenty of overlap for stitching. (Some configurations might require more than two cameras for 360/VR capture.)
This lens is available with different back elements corresponding to a focal length of 3.6mm, 4.3 mm or 6.0mm, respectively. This translates into different image circle sizes on the sensor, where the 3.6mm back is optimized for MFT sensors, while the 4.3 and 6 feature a larger image circle for Super35 sensors. The optimal back element depends on the intended camera use. It is possible to buy more than one back element for the lens and interchange it as necessary (tools are included). mounts and back elements can be “mixed” to a certain degree. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.
The lens also comes with several camera mount options: MFT, EF (Canon EOS), E (Sony E mount) and C. These can also be interchanged if you own more than one mount. The RED cameras require an additional adapter. Custom lens brackets (especially for the EF mount) are available upon request. Contact us for a quote.
