Freedom360 Short Carbon Fiber Monopod

A highly versatile tool to hold and mount the Freedom360. Simply attach the Freedom360 to the “thin end” of the pole and start shooting in any direction. Or attach the monopod to a regular tripod to gain an elevated view, or use a small tabletop tripod as foot, or attach a counter weight for a simplified steadycam setup, or attach the pole with a super clamp to a overhead structure, or extend the monopod with another pole, or or or…

The basic principle behind the Freedom360 is the “vanishing” support, such as this monopod, which can be masked out before blending the final panorama, leaving either just a tiny smudged circle, or nothing at all in the final video.

Rigging:

Use common sense: (CF) poles are build for longitudinal forces, holding them horizontally limits the max load capacity. Use with caution. Never extend a segment all the way to the endstop. Always leave 5cm “in the tube” for each segment, the more the better. Although the Freedom360 is very light (about 525gr), additional forces can still break the carbon fiber or the components connected to the carbon fiber. Use good safety practices, including safety cables, especially if you rig the rig above crowds. Inspect your monopod, and discard it if you think the CF integrity has become compromised.

Center Column Extension:

Some tripods have a rather short or no center column. The short F360 CF pole is a great add-on to any tripod, giving the photographer a 50cm range of fast height adjustability without compromising load or stability.
