Tripod Adapter for Pole 3 Long Upper Long (Dia 48.5, D105) (F7326)

We have different types of Tripod Adapters for Pole Series 3:

NOTE: Currently only Type A Long is available. Other types coming later this year. This is the Tripod Adapter Type A UPPER ONLY but used description for both upper and lower.

Type A: (available this year)
This tripod adapter works with tripods that have a 3/8?遨? male thread on top and a 3/8?遨? female thread at the bottom of the center column. The adapter spreads the bending torque over the length of center column, greatly reducing the torque at the tripod top disk, rotator and pole base. It works with Fanotec advanced rotators, pole rotator and Fanotec poles.

Type B: (available this year)
This tripod adapter works with tripods that have a top disk with 3/8?遨? thread, and a center column with diameter of 32mm, 28mm, 26mm or 25mm. Tripod with 26mm center column is only recommended for application below 3m. For application above 3m, tripod with 28mm center column or bigger is recommended. The adapter spreads the bending torque over the length of center column, greatly reducing the torque at the tripod top disk, rotator and pole base. It works with Fanotec advanced rotators, pole rotator and Fanotec poles.

Type A Long:
Same as Type A however slightly longer to give greater separation away from Tripod. This tripod adapter is compatible with the Manfrotto 058B tripod.

Type B Long: (available this year)
Same as Type B however slightly longer to give greater separation away from Tripod.

High end tripods for photography are strong enough to support a 6m pole. Some people even attempt to install a rotator and pole directly onto the tripod. This is very dangerous. Rotators and tripod center columns are designed to withstand vertical loading with minimal bending torque. With a long pole, the torque is increased 15 times. This can cause damage, without noticeable warning, to the tripod center column top disk, rotator and pole base and to the gears on top of the pole. Damage to equipment and potential injury to people in the area should be avoided at all costs. As part of the pole systems, Fanotec has developed these low cost, light weight and safe to use, tripod adapters for use with Fanotec rotators and poles.
